Quickstart
Start you DeFi journey on DogBone
Create an account
One common barrier to entering DeFi is managing wallets and private keys. DogBone overcomes this by using Privy.io’s account abstraction, so you can log in with your email—just like any other online service.

Logging in with social media accounts (such as Google or X) will be available soon.
Get your Sonic ready
New to DeFi?
If you're new to DeFi, start by transferring funds into your account—typically from a centralized exchange (CEX) like Binance, MEXC, or Gate. Your account is linked to a unique address (for example:
0x71C7656EC7ab88b098defB751B7401B5f6d8976F
). Think of it as your email address; it uniquely identifies you among other users. To move your funds, log into your CEX, purchase some Sonic, and withdraw it to your account address. Please double-check your address carefully, as any error could result in lost funds.
Some FAQs:
Why withdraw Sonic? Unlike on CEX platforms, every transaction on the blockchain—whether sending assets or buying tokens—requires a small fee paid in Sonic. Since Sonic operates on a Layer 1 blockchain, these fees are typically very low (usually less than 0.01 Sonic, depending on the transaction’s complexity). Always keep an extra 4-5 Sonic on hand to cover transaction fees.
Why can’t I withdraw other assets (BTC, ETH, etc.)? Withdrawing non-native assets to another blockchain can be complicated, and many CEX platforms don’t support such transfers to Sonic chain. Sonic, being native to its blockchain, is the easiest asset to withdraw. However, you can still acquire BTC or ETH on Sonic by swapping Sonic later.
How do I buy tokens? In DeFi, buying tokens is often referred to as "swapping." For example, exchanging Sonic for BTC means you’re swapping Sonic for BTC. The process differs from that on CEX platforms. For more information, you can read this article. DogBone offers a built-in swapping interface on the swap page, where we strive to provide the best rates from multiple providers.
How to Earn?
We offer around 100 different strategies, each with its own APR and method of earning. Keep in mind that higher-yield strategies often come with greater risks, including the possibility of losses. For beginners, it's a good idea to start with low-risk strategies. Although these may offer lower APRs, they are typically still several times higher than what centralized exchanges provide—and you'll also earn Sonic points, which count toward Sonic airdrops.
Already Experienced with DeFi?
If you’re familiar with DeFi, you can either transfer funds from a CEX or bridge them from other chains. We’ve integrated a bridge using deBridge, and you can also deposit directly into Sonic strategies from other chains using any token.
Buy Crypto with fiat
Another challenge for crypto newcomers is the complexity of buying crypto. To address this, we’ll soon integrate a fiat on-ramp into DogBone, making the onboarding process easier and more accessible.
